Due to the impact that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has had on retailers across the nation, the Pittsburgh Fashion Alliance is putting together a database of fashion boutiques and local retailers to help make funds available to local business owners in this state of social distancing when their physical shops are indefinitely closed.
For many in the retail industry, our community is made up of small businesses that are at risk of shutting their doors permanently because of the current crisis. As consumers and loyal customers, we can help our favorite local retailers get some much-needed business.

What is a fashion certificate?
These are gift certificates or gift cards that are sold at the price of 15 to 20% less than face value, but redeemable at face value upon shopping with the retail store. The goal is to start selling them ASAP for the next few weeks to bring some much-needed income to the boutiques and retail stores and then have them redeemable 60 days after purchase.
Where can I purchase one?
You can purchase a fashion certificate by clicking directly on the link next to the store name and following the instructions, or by calling the participating boutique or local retailer directly.
Who can participate?
This program is open to any boutique, local retailer, or even e-commerce store. We want to help our fashion community in as many ways that we can no matter what struggles we face as a society.
Is there a fee to participate?
No, there is no fee to any store in order to participate in this program.
Can I buy fashion certificates on this website?
No, this website is only a DATABASE of all participating shops. We act as a community facilitator between shops and customers, and we will not be selling any fashion gift certificates on this website.
How do I know if a shop/boutique is participating?
All participants are listed below in alphabetical order.
When are fashion certificates redeemable?
Fashion certificates that are purchased now can be redeemed at a future date. Each shop/boutique will set its own terms on when they will be redeemable, but all are encouraged to allow them to be made available to use later. It is highly advised to check with the specific boutique, local retailer, or an e-commerce store for their full terms and conditions.
Is there a deadline for purchasing?
No.
Is there an expiration date?
Individual retailers will have their own policies for their fashion certificate. Please contact the stores individually for specific expiration dates, terms, and conditions.
What if a store I want to support is not listed?
Interested retailers can email us at info@downtowncdc.org for details on how to be included.
What happens if I buy a fashion certificate and the store ends up closing?
We can’t guarantee that these certificates will help retailers be sustainable for a long period of time. In the unfortunate event that the brick & mortar storefront can’t reopen, acknowledge that your monetary contribution was able to assist them through an urgent or immediate financial challenge.
